Faculty of Chemical Engineering & Natural Resources (FKKSA) has sent 13 students abroad to join the student exchange program at UMP’s partner institutions in Turkey, India and Indonesia. “This program is aimed to gain valuable experience as student life and campus activities in overseas universities as well to learn about their different culture and language” said Associate Professor Dr Fatmawati Adam, FKKSA Exchange Program Coordinator. Currently, the students are studying for one undergraduate semester from January to June 2018.
In sharing her experience, Hana Shakirah said “The medium communication used for teaching purposes is fully English. Initially, we were having some difficulties to digest their accent but as the time passes, we can understand their English accent better”. Hana Syakirah Bt Md Hadun is one of the exchange students to SRM Institute of Science and Technology, in Chennai India, along with 5 others, Mohammad Farizal Bin Rahmat, Afkar Rabbani Hidayatullah Bin Hipeni, Nur Athira Hanani Bt Jailudin, Nurul Amirah Salihah Bt El-Arish and Pavethra A/P Sivanesan.
